Pick up your WellFeast cooking supplies and swag bag from University Kia of Durham at 5105 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd., Durham, NC 27707. Follow the WellFest signs and we’ll be distributing out of a US Foods truck on the side of the building facing 15/501.

If you are cooking your WellFeast on Saturday, we recommend that you defrost your pork chops on your counter once you get home from pick up. If you are cooking on Sunday or Monday, put the pork chops in the refrigerator along with all of your produce to defrost.

Rock out with Durham-based band The Simple Joy in the parking lot of University Kia of Durham Oct. 3

Also on Oct. 3, Attend a live POUND® – Rockout workout class taught by Katrina Dooda at University Kia of Durham at 1pm. The class will be outside (weather permitting) using social distancing. Please show up with your own yoga mat to participate. This workout transforms drumming into an effective way of working out while creating the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! All fitness levels welcome.

These items are not supplied and are necessary for the at-home cooking class.

  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1⁄2 cup sherry vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • Canola oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Fresh cracked pepper
  • 1⁄8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. chipotle powder (optional)
  • 3⁄4 cup cornmeal
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 3⁄4 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups gluten-free 1-to-1 flour replacement OR all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 sticks of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 oz. feta cheese
  • 1⁄2 cup Madeira
  • 2 Tbsp. bourbon (optional)
